Welcome to the John Adams PTA Web page. We are very happy that you have joined our community. As you may know, we are the dual language school in the west end of Alexandria. We serve a culturally diverse community, and we are greatly enhanced by our differences. Over twenty languages are spoken at our school, with a greater population speaking English, Spanish, and Amharic.
Programs supported by the PTA include: the Scholastic Book Fair, RIF (Reading is Fundamental), staff appreciation luncheon (in May), teacher welcome back breakfast (in August), yard sale (May), Mad Science (after school club), Spanish Club, Family Game Night (Dual Language Committee's Lotteria - Mexican Bingo), student musical performances, and various requests of the teachers. We look forward to your participation and help. We welcome new ideas for clubs, family nights, fundraisers, and other activities.
PTA committees include a Dual Language Committee, for parents of students in the Kindergarten thru 5th grade Dual Language Program at John Adams. For more information or to join, please contact Kris Rier at or 703-933-7246.
