Helen Morris - Vice Chairman

Vice Chairman Helen Morris, District A, has worked in the field of education policy for almost 20 years. In positions with the National School Boards Association, the Consortium for School Networking, Edvantia, and Texas Instruments, Helen has developed expertise in the areas of education technology, math and science education, school health, and professional development for school leaders. From 2005 to 2006, she was president of the Triangle Coalition for Science and Technology Education, a 501(c)(3) organization. Helen received her Bachelor of Arts from the University of Michigan and a Diploma in Early Irish Language and Literature from University College Dublin. Helen tutors at Jefferson-Houston School, is a member of the Jefferson-Houston PTA, and is on the board of directors of the Giving Circle of Alexandria. Helen is married and has one daughter.
