Charles H. Wilson

Charles H. Wilson, District C, was born, raised and educated in Chicago's south side. After earning a bachelor's degree from Southern Illinois University, Mr. Wilson served 20 years in the U.S. Air Force, rising to the position of lieutenant colonel. He served in Vietnam, and as a civil service commissioner in Dayton, Ohio, and as an adjunct professor at Park University. He started a vending machine business in San Antonio, Texas, and invented the microwave oven carousel in 1972. Mr. Wilson also earned a bachelor's degree from the University of Maryland and a master of business administration from Webster University. While assigned to the Defense Logistics Agency and the Pentagon, Mr. Wilson served 10 years as a board director of the Cameron Station Credit Union and three years as a board director of Northern Virginia Hotline. His oldest daughter is an assistant professor at Indiana University, while another daughter and son are teachers in Illinois. His youngest child graduated from T.C. Williams in 2008 and now attends the University of Virginia. Mr. Wilson was PTA president of Jefferson-Houston School for Arts and Academics and PTA vice president at Hammond Middle School. Mr. Wilson, a financial planner and partner of Davis & Davis in Washington, D.C., enjoys flying, Toastmasters and volksmarching.
