Program Design
Phase I: Course Offerings (Grades 9-12)
The Center for the Arts K-12 has a program for students in grades 9-12 that offer courses in all the arts disciplines. Students can select to participate in a class by adding it to their daily high school schedule of classes. Each student will receive the Center for the Arts K-12 course information when they meet with their school counselor to select classes.
Phase II: Arts Organizations and Partnerships (Grades K-12)
Outside arts organizations will partner to offer arts programming based on the Center for the Arts K-12 curriculum extensions through master classes, artist-in-residences, teacher/student workshops, open doors projects, assemblies, lecture series and internships.
Phase III: Performing Arts Series/Students and Arts Organization Performances (Grades 4-12)
There will be student performances with arts organizations to support the master class extension.
Phase IV: Lessons and Clinics/Students Lessons and Arts Organizations Rehearsals (Grades 4-12)
These will be master class workshops given by professional artists for students during the rehearsal of the arts organization.
