Linda Whitfield comes to us from Fairfax County Public Schools, although she is a long-time resident of Alexandria. Ms. Whitfield brings years of experience, having served as Director of Middle School Instruction for Fairfax since 2000, and is eager to return to a position where she can work more directly with students. Prior to her current position, Ms. Whitfield has been a physical education teacher, an associate principal, a principal, a budget analyst, and an administrator for character education. She earned a B.S. in Health, Physical Education and Recreation and a Master's in Educational Administration from the University of Georgia, and is a doctoral candidate majoring in Educational Administration at Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University.
