Employee Relations, Evaluations and Training

The Office of Employee Relations conducts, processes and assists in the investigation and adjudication of grievances, administrative complaints and other issues of employee concern and conduct. Any employee may register a complaint or grievance with the Department of Human Resources in confidentiality.

The Office of Employee Relations also oversees the personnel evaluation system and monitors employee counseling and professional development. In the future, the office will work to develop training programs to better serve the support staff, and expand training in non-academic areas such as sexual harassment and diversity in the workforce.

Beginning July 1, 2012 ACPS will implement an evaluation system that meets new state guidelines and standards for teacher evaluation. This system will replace our current Performance Evaluation Program (PEP). Visit the ACPS Teacher Growth and Assessment System Online Briefing Room to learn more.
