Interim Project Director
Denise Brownlee serves as Interim Project Director. She works as Special Projects Lead for ACPS Human Resources. Denise has more than ten years experience providing strategic leadership for all phases of the employee life cycle, including global human resources. Denise holds a Masters degree in Human Resource Development from George Washington University. Prior to her career in Human Resources, Denise was a classroom teacher.

Lead Facilitator
Dr. Margee Walsh is our lead facilitator for group discussions. She also oversees teacher credits for attending meetings and supports project management as needed. Dr. Walsh brings a wealth of experience and reflection to this effort. She understands the dimensions and implications of organizational change and structural reforms in education. This is her 39th year in education and 19th year with ACPS. She has served as a consultant in technology, education and health services, teacher, assistant principal, principal, executive director of secondary programs, and executive director preK-12 educational programs. Dr. Walsh is currently Executive Director, Policy Development.

Duties and responsibilities:
- Coordinate all administrative components of the compensation review
- Provide leadership support to the committee based upon a continuing review and assessment of needs and opportunities
- Establish and maintain partnerships with the NEA and other agencies and organizations to develop relationships that foster collaboration, and optimize the level of performance available to committee members
- Explore program opportunities available through state, federal or private funding which appear to have merit for the committee's work
- Coordinate and implement professional development events for the committee
- Coordinate and implement membership drives
- Develop and execute short and long-range plans for the committee's work
- Prepare financial reports for the committee
- Liaison and inform the Superintendent and School Board of the committee's work as needed
- Schedule, attend and participate in all committee meetings. Attend related conferences on compensation reform as needed
- Prepare and implement the committee annual budget
- Prepare all documentation and paperwork for the successful organization and implementation of activities
- Promote and market the committee's work within the division and across the nation
- Monitor selection, attendance, supervision and performance of the work groups
- Serve as the committee historian
- Serve as the committee spokesperson
- Maintain the committee's webpage with regular updates
- Record member participation and award credits annually
- Recognize and reward members for their great work
- Conduct other duties as assigned by the Superintendent to promote the committee's work
