T.C. Williams Students Participate in Annual Del Ray Art Show
The Del Ray Artisans and the T.C. Williams High School Art Department jointly present the 15th Annual Student Art Show at the Del Ray Artisans gallery, from Friday, May 4, through Sunday, May 13. The exhibit will feature the work of 13 T.C. students whose exemplary achievement has earned them entry into the National Art Honor Society. A number of these students will continue to study art at the college level, and much of the work on exhibit was featured in their winning college admission portfolios.
This year's exhibitors include Marvin Ayala, Maxwell Bijak, Elena Bischak, Grecia Burela Peralta, Hannah Clark, Yazmin Dorado, Emily Flanigan, Nathan Giordano, Sofia Leidolf, Alexandra Lemke, Sheila Otwe, Sara Taricco and Nadia Magallon. Seniors are permitted to sell their work, while juniors will retain theirs for college portfolios.
T.C. Williams offers a vibrant art program that each year attracts hundreds of ninth- through 12th-graders, many of whom go on to successful art careers. Come celebrate these newest rising stars! The opening reception will be held on Friday, May 4, from 7-10 p.m. Gallery hours are Thursdays, noon-6 (except May 3, during First Night Del Ray, when the gallery will be open until 9); Fridays, noon to 9 p.m.; Saturdays, 10 a.m. to 9 p.m.; and Sundays, noon to 6 p.m.
