Parents had the opportunity to learn various literacy development strategies and to gain a deeper understanding of Patrick Henry's new reading program, "Success for All," in order to help their students at home and to encourage a love of reading! Margo Chisholm, a librarian from Beatley Library, was on hand to help students sign up for public library cards.

The Continentals Organization hosted dinner. Attendees entered a free raffle for a chance to win themed book baskets, thanks to a donation from the Brookville-Seminary Valley Civic Association. In addition, thanks to a generous donation from the National PTA, every student in attendance was able to choose a book to take home.
