Annual Breakfast and Awards Ceremony Honor ACPS Partners in Education
More than 150 Alexandria City Public Schools (ACPS) partners, staff and guests attended the annual ACPS Partners in Education Breakfast and Awards Ceremony on Friday, June 15, at the Hilton Alexandria Mark Center. This year's theme was "Partners in Education: Impacting Student Achievement and Engaging Schools and Communities."

Partners received recognition for their outstanding contributions to ACPS students and families. This year, division-wide awards went to partners in the Elementary, Middle and High School categories (view list of awardees and more photos).
ACPS Superintendent Morton Sherman also honored three partners. Campagna Center Executive Director Tammy Mann received the Superintendent's Award of Excellence; DC Metro Carson Scholars President Roy Heron received the Innovation Award for his work with the Carson Scholarship Foundation and the launch of the Carson Reading Room at T.C. Williams High School; and ACPS Director of Pupil Services Lawrence Jointer received the Superintendent's Legacy Award for his outstanding work with the Young Stars Success Mentoring Program.
