Artificial Turf Field Construction Progressing at Hammond Campus

The Artificial Turf Field Construction project at the Francis C. Hammond Middle School Campus is under way, with the excavation and retention system installation completed. By Sept. 4, curb installation for the field will commence, all the sidewalks will be re-opened, the sand filter installation will be completed and some landscape work will begin. Because of underground utility conflicts that required redesign, the project schedule has been affected. Use of the new field will be delayed until the overall project is completed in November.
