Two community meetings to discuss the T.C. Educational Program and new facility were held last week. T.C. Associate Principal Tammy Ignacio facilitated the discussion at Mount Vernon Community School and Margee Walsh facilitated the discussion at Minnie Howard School. The questions and responses from participants focused on understanding the concept of smaller learning communities, the layout and features of the new facility, and the importance of high level achievement by every student.
Through the buildingthefuture e-mail address we are receiving many helpful suggestions regarding how to improve the communications about the new high school and its educational program. At the request of one of our parents, we are providing a smaller learning communities research bibliography that was created in June 2005 to further the community's understanding of high school reform efforts.
We appreciate all of the feedback we receive and encourage you to share this information with interested neighbors and friends.
Students enrolled in the licensed practical nursing program fulfill their clinical experience in area hospital and nursing home facilities.
