John Adams Elementary School's first RIF (Reading Is Fundamental) book distribution of the year featured a "Retro RIF" theme, and everyone including staff, volunteers and students was encouraged to pick an era and dress up. President of Alliance Dance Institute Gary Stephans and his dance partner, Pearl Carrington, volunteered their time and talents to share a little history about dance and dazzle everyone with various dances, including the Tango, Salsa and Fox Trot.

The dancers showed everyone simple dance steps to follow so that they could have a twirl on the dance floor. The dedication and hard work of John Adams RIF Parent Co-Liaisons Mildred Rivera and Yolie Carrasco, along with our wonderful parent volunteers, made the event a success.
