The Third Annual Parker-Gray Memorial Basketball Game will be played on Monday, Feb. 1, at 6 p.m. on the Earl Lloyd Court at T. C. Williams High School, 3330 King St., Alexandria. The date marks the third attempt this season to play the game, which was postponed twice due to snow! As they say, the third time is a charm, and the Boys' Varsity Basketball Team hopes for a lot of support as it competes against Kecoughtan High School from Hampton, coached by former T.C. Williams head coach Ivan Thomas.
Kecoughtan is an excellent team, which lost by 2 to Montrose Christian in overtime last weekend and will be a very tough opponent for the Titans! The main focus of the evening will be to honor the legacy of Parker-Gray High School.
Tickets are $5 per person and the doors open at 5:15 p.m. For additional information, go to www.acps.k12.va.us/tcw/sports/ or contact the Athletic Department at 703-824-6860.
Two ACPS "modified calendar" schools - Mount Vernon Community School and Samuel W. Tucker Elementary School - offer three intersessions throughout the school year, featuring a wide selection of both remedial and special-interest classes.
