Three student teams will represent Alexandria City Public Schools (ACPS) at the Region 8 Odyssey of the Mind competition to be held on Saturday, March 6, at West Potomac High School, 6500 Quander Road, Alexandria. Two teams from Matthew Maury Elementary School and one team from Francis C. Hammond Middle School will compete.
Last year, Maury was the first and only ACPS school to send teams to the regional competition, which includes Arlington and part of Fairfax County. The full event schedule is posted online on the NOVA East OM Web site. ACPS teams, who have been working hard for a few months now, will compete at the following times:
Early childhood education students intern with the Alexandria Head Start program and provide assistance at the Tiny Titan Daycare Center housed in T.C. Williams High School.
