Alexandria City Public Schools is pleased to provide a middle school update as part of the process for reviewing our many successes and our areas of needed improvement. Learn more about IB-MYP, SOL writing scores, PACE, Academic and Career Plans, world languages, AVID, how the T.C. transformation will affect grades 6-12, student schedules, co-curricular and intramural activities, and changes to assessments for students receiving special education services. Most important, please give us your feedback. Visit http://www.acps.k12.va.us/middle-schools/. Hard copies will soon be available in English and Spanish in each middle school.
Two ACPS "modified calendar" schools - Mount Vernon Community School and Samuel W. Tucker Elementary School - offer three intersessions throughout the school year, featuring a wide selection of both remedial and special-interest classes.
