The Samuel W. Tucker Elementary School PTA often hears the questions, "What exactly do you do, and how can I help make a difference?" In response, the PTA put together highlights of the past school year's activities.
This year marked the school's 10th anniversary, and the Tucker PTA committed to commemorate this milestone with a multi-cultural outreach plan to celebrate the school and its rich diversity, which includes more than 50 countries and 40 languages. Honoring civil rights activist Samuel W. Tucker's passion, dedication and perseverance for education, opportunity and equality for all, the PTA, staff, parent and community volunteers and neighborhood partners have come together to help students invest in themselves, their academic achievements and their personal development. Through committed team work, all have worked to provide a welcoming environment, stronger school community, additional resources and strong programs to support the Alexandria City Public Schools mission to ensure that all students are equipped to succeed.
The PTA welcomes additional support, ideas and volunteers during the 2010-2011 school year. Contact the PTA through .
