The Fall Sports Parent Orientation meeting will take place at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 3, in the T.C. Williams auditorium. Contact the Athletic Department at 703-824-6860 for more information.
Student athletes have a few remaining opportunities to schedule mandatory sports physicals. Athletic physicals must be taken each year for the school year. The physical must be dated after May 1, 2010, to be eligible for use during the 2010-2011 school year.
The following dates and locations offer free physicals at T.C. Williams and the Teen Center:
T.C. Clinic dates: July 21 and 22 between 9 a.m. and 2 p.m.
Teen Clinic dates: Aug. 2 and 9.
You must call 703-519-6006 for an appointment.
All physicals are done on an appointment schedule. You must call the school to get a physical. The physical forms can be downloaded at http://www.acps.k12.va.us/tcw/sports/ or picked up in the Athletic Department's office. No athlete may participate in tryouts or practice without a current physical. There are no exceptions.
A recent study showed that Kindergarten Prep participants, when compared to non-K-Prep students, earned higher literacy scores in kindergarten and first grade. Learn more »
