George Mason Principal Named
Kevin West is the new principal at George Mason Elementary School, effective today. Mr. West previously served as principal at Canyon Ridge School in Surprise, Ariz. He also has served as an assistant principal at Canyon Ridge School, an assistant principal at Coyote Hills Elementary School in Peoria, Ariz., and as an instructional specialist. Mr. West also has been a fifth-grade and an eighth-grade teacher in Fairfax, Va.
Mr. West's honors include a Visionary Administrator award in conjunction with "Project Tomorrow: Speak Up Survey Report," and the Outstanding Student in Educational Leadership award from Arizona School Administrators/Arizona State University West. He holds a Master's Degree in Elementary Education from Marymount University and a Bachelor's Degree in Political Science from James Madison University.
A welcome reception for Mr. West will take place later this summer. The date will be announced.
