Free Meals Available for ACPS Summer School Students

Alexandria, Va. — Alexandria City Public Schools' School Nutrition Services will sponsor the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) Summer Food Service Program at school sites listed below. Meals will be provided to all children up to age 18 without charge.

Meals will be provided for high school grades nine through 12 weekdays at the Minnie Howard Campus of T.C. Williams High School from July 9 through Aug. 2, and at the main campus of T.C. Williams from Aug. 6 through 24. Meals for middle school grades six through eight will be available at Francis C. Hammond Middle School Campus from July 9 through Aug. 14. George Washington Middle School Campus will offer meals for grade six only on Aug. 13 and 14.

Elementary schools' meals will be available July 9 through 22 at John Adams Elementary School, Jefferson-Houston School, William Ramsay Elementary School and Cora Kelly School for Math, Science and Technology. The following schools will provide meals from July 30 through Aug. 17: George Mason, Douglas MacArthur and Matthew Maury elementary schools. Patrick Henry and James K. Polk elementary schools will provide meals from Aug. 6 through 17, and John Adams, Charles Barrett Elementary School, Jefferson-Houston, Cora Kelly, Lyles-Crouch Traditional Academy and William Ramsay will provide meals from Aug. 13 through 17.

Signs will be posted at the main entrance at each school entrance where meals will be served. Meals must be consumed in designated spaces posted at each site. Times may change due to schedule adjustments. Correct times will be posted at each site.
