The academic curriculum at Maury includes reading, language arts, mathematics, social studies, and science. The school also offers:

At Maury, the principal, psychologist, social worker, nurse and guidance counselor work together as a team to provide students and their families an array of testing, counseling and other support services.

Parent and community volunteers play a key role in the education of children at Maury. Volunteers tutor students, arrange special events and chaperone field trips. The PTA provides both financial support and person-power for a wide variety of programs and activities.

Academy of Finance students operate the Titan branch of the City of Alexandria Employees Credit Union and maintain an ATM machine.
