Welcome to the William Ramsay PTA Web page.

We are happy that you have joined our community. As you may know, Ramsay serves a very culturally diverse community. There are several languages from all around the world spoken within our school, and our students, staff and families represent more than 100 cultures! You can admire our diversity by attending our Annual Parade of Nations held each spring.

The PTA hosts several activities during the year that are designed to compliment the mission and purposes of the national PTA organization. We are here to offer programs and activities that motivate and encourage your child, provide information to parents, provide opportunities and encourage our parents and staff to advocate for our students and school, and to encourage parent engagement, involvement, and volunteerism.

Successful, annual PTA events include our Walking Wednesday program, Bike Rodeo, Spirit Nights, Spelling Bee, Market Day, and the PTA Newsletter. We invite your input for future activities and your participation in all events.

The PTA also helps support several school sponsored programs like the Safety Patrol, Runner Bucks program, RIF (Reading is Fundamental), Scholastic Book Fair, Teacher Appreciation, Field Day, International Festival, and 5th grade promotion.

We ALWAYS welcome new volunteers! And we welcome new ideas for clubs, family nights, fundraisers and other activities. Let us know how WE can help make this year better for you and your child.

PTA meetings are held at 6:00 p.m. in the library. All dates are subject to change. Please look for announcements and reminders in your child's Thursday folder, on the PTA Message Board at the front of the school, on the ACPS calendar, and on the William Ramsay PTA Google calendar.
