Coordinated School Health
In order to provide for the health needs of the whole child, ACPS embraces a "Coordinated School Health Program" model of service delivery. A coordinated school health program (CSHP) model consists of eight interactive components. We believe that when each of these components work together, optimal health and wellness is realized in the school community. These eight components include:
- Health Education
- Physical Education
- School Health Services
- School Nutrition Services
- Counseling and Psychological Services
- Healthy School Environment
- Health Promotion for Staff
- Family and Community Involvement
More information about the Coordinated School Health Model can be found at http://www.cdc.gov/healthyyouth/cshp/.
