Kindergarten Preparatory (K-Prep) Program

AUGUST 12-16, 2013

Alexandria City Public Schools offers a free Kindergarten Preparatory (K-Prep) Program at all elementary schools except for Mount Vernon and Samuel W. Tucker which follow a modified calendar.

The daily four-hour program is offered in August and is designed to introduce new kindergartners to their respective schools and classrooms. The K-Prep program will operate from 9 a.m. - 1 p.m. All students are introduced to beginning academic skills and are prepared for early success in school. Breakfast, lunch and transportation are included.

Reserve a space in K-Prep by completing the kindergarten registration process at your child's school and by notifying the school office that you would like your child to attend K-Prep.
