Mission

The superintendent is the chief executive officer for the school division. The superintendent's mission is to ensure that:

  1. every child in every classroom receives the highest quality education and instruction
  2. safe and secure learning and working environments are available for all students and employees
  3. the Alexandria City Public School system attracts and retains the best possible employees
  4. all employees are properly trained through ongoing staff and professional development to stay informed of current educational trends and to develop new skills in their areas of expertise
  5. state of the art technology is readily accessible to all students and staff
  6. parent and community involvement in the educational process of our students is properly and continuously promoted and encouraged
  7. all Alexandria City Public Schools are fully accredited
