  • Update: In January 2017, the Alexandria City School Board voted to approve new elementary school boundaries for Alexandria City Public Schools. Around the same time, the School Board also approved policy changes to establish guidelines for grandfathering, siblings, transportation and programmatic transfers. New boundaries will be implemented in time for the start of the school year in fall 2018.

The redistricting implementation plan will be presented to the School Board on April 6, 2017 and publicized to the ACPS community following that date.
