Campagna Kids is an out-of-school time program, licensed by the state of Virginia. The program is designed to encourage creative expression, positive social-emotional development, and academic success for children, kindergarten through fifth grade.
Its programming follows standards developed by the National Afterschool Association and provides small-group activities designed to support students' Standards of Learning (SOLs) and engagement in the areas of Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Math (STEAM). Campagna Kids also offers services such as healthy afterschool snacks, homework assistance, math and language arts tutoring, sports and arts enrichment, child-directed play centers, and family engagement activities.
The Campagna Kids program is an affordable and safe child care solution designed to assist working parents and guardians by offering care to children during the school year and during winter, spring, and summer break from school. A site director supervises each program and is assisted by experienced and well-trained staff members. Each program is staffed in a 1:12 adult-to-child ratio, which exceeds state licensing requirements.
The program operates Monday through Friday immediately after school until 6 p.m. Spaces are available on a first-come first-served basis. Fees are based on household income and are determined by a sliding fee scale, with opportunities for financial assistance.
