Learning Academy: Teams 5-8
Minnie Howard Campus - Suite 222
Each student is part of an Academy that provides a network of support that stays with them throughout grade 9. Their assigned Academy is their center of support for all issues related to the T.C. educational experience. The Academy to which students are assigned does not impact how students are organized into classes. Students will be in classes with students from all Academies.
Academy 10 Administrator
and Instructional Leader for English, Science, Physical Education and Human Growth & Development
Academy administrators lead a smaller learning community of students in which they support students' academic progress, attendance, behavior, and social-emotional needs. Administrators also provide instructional leadership to specific departments in the school.
*Dr. Cowell will be on maternity leave through the end of October. At the beginning of the school year, a substitute will be on staff. At this time, parents/ students assigned to Dr. Cowell can direct all inquiries to Ms. Michelle Denton.
Students and families may contact their child’s school counselor directly with any schedule questions. Priority will go to those students who have a serious error on their schedules that need to be corrected. Corrections may include being scheduled in an incorrect class that affects meeting graduation requirements, having an incomplete schedule, or enrolling in advanced level courses. We will not be able to accommodate requests for specific teachers.
