Classification Review Overview

  • Each year, ACPS conducts an annual process whereby eligible employees can request to have their job responsibilities reviewed to ensure alignment with current job title and compensation. For 2019-2020, the annual classification review process begins on October 1 and ends on October 31.  However, to allow employees and staff more time to process the requests, HR extends the period to November 8, 2019.

    Eligible employees who believe their duties and responsibilities have changed to the extent that their positions should be reclassified may submit a reclassification request to their supervisor or department head.

    The department head will analyze the request to determine it meets eligibility requirements. If approved, the department head will forward the request to human resources. ACPS has contracted with a neutral third-party to assess submissions and make recommendations.
