ACPS Backpack and school supply drive, July 18-August 15
  • Supply Lists   DropOff support button

Each summer, the ACPS Family and Community Engagement Center (FACE) rallies with dozens of local organizations and businesses to collect backpacks and essential school supplies to help our division’s highest need students start the school year off right.

With more than 60 percent of our students who represent a rainbow of ethnic, cultural, and economic groups  qualifying for free or reduced-price lunch, we can certainly use your help!

Please donate new backpacks and school supplies by dropping them off in an ACPS Backpack + School Supply Drive collection bin at any of our drop-off sites or as part of any of the following special events:

    Wednesday, August 7
    6PM - 8PM

Remember what it felt like to receive a note in class? Letters from friends in the mail still have this effect on most of us. Join the Correspondence Club at Penny Post to design colorful notes of encouragement to help make the first day of school a little more fun and a little less scary for local students. These notes will be added to backpacks donated through the ACPS Backpack + School Supply Drive. Please feel welcome to bring a friend or your children!
