ACPS VIRTUAL PLUS PATHWAY TO PARTNERSHIP

HOW CAN YOU PARTNER WITH ACPS?

The Virtual PLUS+ model provides teaching and learning within virtual classrooms while providing additional support that students, staff and families will need to navigate the new content being taught, build relationships with teachers and staff, and stay connected to the school community.

Here are some potential paths that partners can take to provide support:

*Implement programming via Zoom or compatible virtual platform (see below for steps) for ACPS and/ or be connected to an approved ACPS official partner to explore additional potential student support
    opportunities.

*Implement a mix of programming via virtual platform and in person support (see below for steps)

*Volunteer to provide support of a community partner (we can help connect) and/or an ACPS program.

ACPS values the impact that community partners can have on the success of our students, staff and families. To continue to provide opportunities for partnership in the ACPS Virtual Plus reopening, the following steps have been established for the different types of partner support.

STEP 1:   Virtual Plus ACPS Partner Agreement

ACPS has a new agreement form that is aligned with the Virtual Plus reopening guidelines. This form can be completed below or CLICK HERE to fill out the PDF and submit to kurt.huffman@acps.k12.va.us

    STEP 2:   Review of Agreement

The ACPS Community Partnerships and Engagement team will review the submitted agreement and work with partner and aligned leadership (Building/Department) to get agreement to signature status.

    STEP 3:   Connect

After agreement has been signed and approved, partner connect with aligned leadership/staff  to establish next steps of implementation.  We will also help connect you to aligned community partners if you have indicated that desire in your partnership agreement.

    STEP 4:   Partner Support Implementation

Partner implements program. To ensure partner is following all Virtual Plus and ACPS policies and regulations, building/department leadership/staff will create a series of check-ins with partner, students and families involved in partner programming.

STEP 5:  Impact Review and Reflect

The Community Partnerships & Engagement team will connect with partner monthly to review and reflect on impact data and provide any needed support.
