We are so pleased that you are part of the Alexandria City High School Satellite Campus! Our Satellite campus is a safe, positive, and supportive learning environment where individual student needs are met. We embrace student individuality and diversity, both in the classroom and in the school environment, by demonstrating acceptance and also by creating a sense of community. We are dedicated to providing creative learning opportunities and differentiated instruction as well as applying learning to the lives of our students. Our flexible environment is different from the traditional high school experience so we want to be sure that families are aware of the unique expectations that comprise the Satellite Campus. Each student is assigned an academic adviser and this adviser will be your primary point of contact going forward for questions regarding your student.
All Satellite students and families are expected to attend our virtual orientation. (Will be held on August 19, 2021, at 6:00 p.m. via webinar). During the virtual orientation, students and families will be introduced to Satellite procedures, expectations, and daily functioning. All students should download the Satellite Student Handbook, an orientation checklist detailing Satellite expectations, and the online learning contract for 2021-2022. We will also host family nights via Zoom in which families will be able to ask any questions related to Satellite processes/procedures.
All Satellite students and families are required to complete and return the required paperwork (completed Online Learning Contract, completed Orientation Checklist, and completed Student Information Form) prior to beginning their Satellite coursework.
Please download the required Satellite orientation documents. The online learning contract, orientation checklist, and student information form need to be completed and emailed to email@example.com to finalize the required Satellite orientation. Please contact firstname.lastname@example.org with any questions.
Completing this form is optional, but will assist with course scheduling. Please complete this document and return it to the student's school counselor, Mr. Morton, at email@example.com.
