Virtual PLUS+ School Day and After School Free Program for Eligible Families

  • To support our parents/guardians who are essential workers and to provide the option of free school day and after school support for our most vulnerable K-5 students who attend Title I Schools, we have created a invitation program for those qualified students/families. 

    NOTE: Enrollment for the free school day program is now closed.  If you are currently enrolled in the program and have any questions, please visit the FAQ information below.   If you are still in need of child care, view the list of additional child care options for families below as many have current opportunities for enrollment.

Additional Child Care Options For Families

  • UPDATE:

    The Alexandria Emergency Child Care Collaborative (ECCC), which was formed to support essential workers who have exhausted all other non-group care options, now supports all families in need of child care and works to match them with open providers.  Please click here to learn more.

    The City of Alexandria also has child care assistance programs that provide funding to enhance the quality, affordability and availability of child care for Alexandria families. You can click here to view child care assistance and referral programs.
