Parent Liaison Spotlight
Nataly Stamy: Spanish-language, Division-Wide Parent Liaison
For Parent Liaison Nataly Stamy, increasing family-school partnerships means developing trusting relationships with parents and making them feel welcomed and valued at ALL times. One minute Ms. Stamy may be on the phone personally inviting families to attend an upcoming school workshop. The next minute she can be seen providing valuable orientation and support to parents in their native language. In her role as the division-wide Spanish-language Parent Liaison, Ms. Stamy assists Spanish-speaking families to better navigate the school system by connecting them to appropriate staff and resources and providing them ongoing opportunities to be involved. Ms. Stamy's family engagement goal is to assist more Spanish-speaking families to participate as volunteers at their children's schools.
