BECOME A PARTNER
There are many options for you to become an ACPS partner, including volunteering, funding grants, and more.
The Local Motion Project partners with ACPS to bring dance integration programming into the school day. They currently partner with teachers at Mount Vernon Community School and Polk Elementary School in grades K, 1, and 2. Students participate in active, engaging lessons that connect creative dance with another content area. The lessons integrate the National Core Arts Standards for Dance and Virginia SOLs. Teaching SOL content and dance standards together develops creativity and critical thinking skills, providing for deeper understanding of both subject areas.
