ACPS Enrollment Projections

School enrollment projections are vital to the educational planning process at Alexandria City Public Schools (ACPS). These estimates help us anticipate how many students will enroll in the future, allowing ACPS to make informed decisions about budgeting, resource allocation, and addressing ever-changing student needs.

The enrollment projections infographic provides a comprehensive overview of the following:

  • How Projections Are Developed: Insights into the methodologies used to estimate future enrollment figures.

  • Key Factors in Projections: An explanation of the variables considered, such as demographic trends and housing data, to ensure accurate estimates.

  • Student Generation Rates: Details on how student generation rates are calculated to predict enrollment impacts from new residential developments.

  • Connection to Budget Planning: An overview of how enrollment data influences both the Operating Budget and the Capital Improvement Plan, ensuring that funding aligns with student needs and growth.

This resource is designed to enhance transparency and understanding of the enrollment projections process and its vital role in shaping the future of ACPS. View the infographic to learn more about how enrollment projections guide our planning efforts.
