2026-27 School Year Calendars Now Available

Alexandria City Public Schools (ACPS) has finalized the 2026-27 school year calendars. The calendars feature 180 instructional days and 195 teacher work days. The traditional academic calendar applies to all ACPS schools, except for Samuel W. Tucker Elementary School. The first day of school for these schools will be August 24, 2026, with the last day for all students on June 17, 2027. Samuel W. Tucker Elementary School will follow a modified calendar, with its first school day on July 27, 2026, and its last day of school on June 17, 2027. 

Both calendars include 24 five-day instructional weeks, 14 four-day instructional weeks and no isolated learning days. To encourage greater family participation, the parent-teacher conference framework pairs an early release day on Thursday with a student holiday on Friday.
