Felix Trammell Promoted to ACHS Director of Athletics and Student Activities

Felix Trammell takes on the role of Alexandria City High School (ACHS) director of athletics and student activities, effective Oct. 1, 2025. In this role, Trammell will manage the operational success of all athletic programs, student activities and club programs at all ACHS campuses as a member of the ACHS leadership team.

“Felix’s journey from Titan student-athlete to assistant director and now director of athletics and student activities is a testament to his deep commitment to our school and community,” said James Parker, executive director of athletics and student activities. “He brings not only a wealth of experience as an administrator, educator and coach, but also a true passion for developing well-rounded students through athletics and activities. I am confident Felix will continue to elevate ACHS programs and inspire the next generation of Titans.”

Trammell is a proud Titan and 2001 graduate of T.C. Williams High School, now ACHS.

He is an accomplished administrator, educator and coach with nearly two decades of leadership, coaching, team management and educational services experience. He is a results-driven leader, skilled in problem solving for the greater good of the athletic department and school community. Trammel also has an extensive background in music education.

Trammel previously served as the assistant director of athletics and student activities at ACHS. He was also a Junior Varsity (JV) softball coach and an economics and personal finance teacher.

At Prince George’s County Public Schools in Maryland, he served as a sixth-grade team instructional leader, music department chair and creative arts team leader. Trammell is also a part-time baseball umpire for Mid-Atlantic Officials.

Trammell received a Bachelor of Arts in music education from Bethune-Cookman University and a Master of Science in educational administration at Trinity Washington University. He also holds certification as a registered athletic administrator with the National Interscholastic Athletic Administrators Association, underscoring his commitment to athletic administrative excellence.
