Fiscal Year 2027 Proposed Budget Development Process

Alexandria City Public Schools (ACPS) is beginning development of the Fiscal Year (FY) 2027 Combined Funds Budget, a yearlong process that includes multiple School Board work sessions, community input and multiple opportunities for public engagement. Below are key milestones in the budget development process.
Final Review and Adoption
- May 7, 2026: Superintendent presents the Adjusted Proposed Combined Funds and Capital Improvement Program (CIP) budgets.
- May 12, 2026: Public Hearing on adjusted budgets.
- June 11, 2026: School Board adopts the final FY 2027 Combined Funds and FY 2027–36 CIP budgets.
