Congratulations to Alexandria City Public Schools (ACPS) Advancement Via Individual Determination (AVID) District Leader Jodie Peters on being named an AVID District Leader of the Year finalist in the AVID Global Achievement Awards. In celebration of AVID’s 45th anniversary, the Global Achievement Awards were established to spotlight exceptional individuals and teams whose work exemplifies AVID’s core values, which include high expectations, rigorous instruction and unwavering support for all students. This national recognition honors outstanding educators and leaders who are advancing student success through the AVID College and Career Readiness System. Winners will be announced in December 2025 at the AVID National Conference in San Diego, California.
