Is your child water-ready? Build confidence, safety and lifelong skills with Alexandria’s Department of Recreation, Parks and Cultural Activities (RPCA) Learn-to-Swim classes.

  • Beginner to advanced.
  • Supportive instructors.
  • Fun, camp-style summer sessions.

RPCA’s American Red Cross–Based Learn-to-Swim classes are offered for:

  • Infants and toddlers; 
  • Preschoolers; 
  • School-age children; and 
  • Teens and adults.

Summer sessions are typically structured as week-long or multi-week blocks, similar to camps, held at City pools. The focus is on water safety, floating and survival skills, stroke development and confidence in the water. Spots fill FAST, so secure your RPCA Registration today!
