Teacher Appreciation Week: May 4-8, 2026

Teachers do the “heart work” every day, and in May, we celebrate all they do to nurture, educate and inspire our Alexandria City Public Schools (ACPS) students. The National Parent-Teacher Association Council’s (PTA) 2026 Teacher Appreciation Week's theme is “Teachers Create Magic” as they have a way of turning challenges into triumphs and their classrooms into launchpads for dreams. Join us during National Teacher Appreciation Week during May 4-8, 2026, and National Teacher Appreciation Day on May 5, 2026 to celebrate our dedicated cadre of educators.
