Theater Students Shine at Cappies Awards

Two cast members in the Alexandria City High School (ACHS) production of “Anastasia: The Musical” took home 2026 Cappies awards. ACHS senior Ailinn Colarulli received the Featured Actor in a Male Role in a Musical honor and sophomore, Page Vogel, received the Vocalist in a Female Role award.
“A huge congratulations to these students, and to ACHS Director Hope Bachman and Music Director Theodore Thorpe III,” said Alexandria City Public Schools K-12 Fine Arts Instructional Specialist Meagan Carrick.
The awards were presented at the 2026 Cappies Gala at DAR Constitution Hall on June 7, 2026. At the gala, performance groups included students from throughout the National Capital Area chapter.
