The milestone 100th day of school was celebrated in 17 of Alexandria City Public Schools (ACPS) on Feb. 13, 2023. The day gives students the chance to think about all they have accomplished as they also look forward to future learning opportunities.
Classroom festivities vary by grade and include practicing math and spelling skills, STEM activities and writing prompts. Check out just some of the fun by viewing #ACPS100thDay posts on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram.
Samuel W. Tucker Elementary School, which follows the modified academic calendar, marked the occasion on Jan. 30, 2023.
With parent-teacher conferences being held throughout February, the 100th day of school is also a time for teachers to review student progress. This mid-year check-up helps to keep students on track to reaching their goals.
