ACPS Hosts the 2023 Athletic Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony on Oct. 14, 2023

The Alexandria City Public Schools (ACPS) Athletic Hall of Fame welcomes a new cohort of inductees on Sat., Oct. 14, 2023. The public is invited to attend the induction ceremony at 2 p.m. in the Alexandria City High School (ACHS) auditorium.

The inductees include the following five women and five men:

  • Mike Agee.
  • Rudy Argueta.
  • Philomena Fitzgerald.
  • Jasmine Goffe.
  • Ada Hicks.
  • Elena Parent.
  • Joseph Pisciotta.
  • Donald Riviere.
  • Brianna Smith.
  • Dominique Wimbush.

In addition, the 1984 T.C. Williams High School football team will also be recognized at the ceremony as an inductee.

“This year's Hall of Fame class has some spectacular athletes who won on the highest level and represent what being a Titan is all about,” Executive Director of Athletics and Student Activities James Parker said.

Since its inception in 2014, the Hall of Fame has inducted 99 athletes or coaches and six teams. The inductees represent a variety of  sports, including baseball, basketball, crew, diving, field hockey, football, gymnastics, soccer, swimming and track.

The Hall of Fame recognizes the outstanding achievements of individual athletes, coaches, teams and friends of ACPS who contributed to the integrity, promotion and growth of athletics at the high school level. Inductees also serve as role models who have helped pave the path for future generations to realize an equitable learning environment in our schools for all students, on and off the playing field.
