ACPS Partner Hazel Health to Offer Mental Telehealth Services During Summer Break

Mental health matters 365 days of the year, and Hazel Health is here to support our students. The telehealth service’s highly-qualified therapists specialize in working with teens and are available all summer long as part of its partnership with Alexandria City Public Schools (ACPS).

Hazel Health provides virtual access for students to mental health services with licensed professionals and serves as an additional tool for school health staff to support student well-being throughout the year. The telehealth service assists students who are coping with anxiety, stress, depression, bullying, substance use and other issues impacting their ability to be in school and learn. Hazel Health can also help students with summer anxiety, loneliness, body image issues and more.

Hazel Health provides students with high-quality care at no out-of-pocket cost to families. In the summer, teletherapy sessions can be scheduled Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Hazel Health suggests families set healthy boundaries over the summer, trust their intuition and lean on a support system. Visit Hazel Health’s webpage for more information and instructions on how to schedule over the summer.
