ACPS Salutes Our School Lunch Superheroes

Real life superheroes can be found in Alexandria City Public Schools (ACPS) cafeterias, and the division is rallying around our staff as we celebrate School Lunch Hero Day on May 5, 2023.

“On National Hero School Lunch Hero Day, I am excited to celebrate and honor the work all our team members do,” Office of School and Nutrition Services (SNS) Director Dr. Eric K. Coleman said. “Proper nutrition directly correlates to student academic achievement and performance in the classroom. I am honored to work alongside such a dynamic group of professionals that champion student nutrition with fidelity. Students experience choice and are exposed to various meal concepts on a daily basis. SNS takes pride in offering meal pattern options that meet the needs of the whole child in an equitable and inclusive manner.”
