ACPS Shows Appreciation for Our School Communicators

School Communicators Day on May 12, 2023, celebrates our staff who share information with the community and assist Alexandria City Public Schools (ACPS) in achieving our missions and goals. 

“Our team of communications, outreach and engagement professionals serves the school division and the Alexandria community. This team is on call at all hours, working to make sure that students, staff and all families have the information they need and encouraging meaningful involvement in our schools,” Chief of School and Community Relations Julia Burgos said. “I want to thank everyone for their service and dedication.”

School communicators at ACPS work to benefit our students by ensuring our families, staff and community can access information on critical issues and be able to follow along in the decision-making process. As we recognize School Communicators Day, ACPS highlights staff from the Office of Communications, the Office of Community Partnerships and Engagement and the PR liaisons in our schools. Let’s celebrate the crucial communications work done in all of our schools and across the division!
