ACPS Website Review and Refresh Project

ACPS Website Review and Refresh Project

Alexandria City Public Schools (ACPS) is currently working on a website review and refresh project focused on enhancing the website experience for students, staff, families and the broader Alexandria City community. Our goal is to make it easier than ever to access important information, stay connected and find the resources you need quickly and efficiently.

Website Review Process

We are conducting a comprehensive audit of the ACPS website that is currently underway to identify outdated content, broken links and areas for improvement in navigation and accessibility. As part of this project, we are streamlining content to prioritize accuracy and placing key information in strategic locations, making it easier for everyone to find essential resources. The redesigned navigation will ensure that visitors can locate information with ease.

What’s Changing?

This refresh will primarily impact the ACPS homepage and each school’s landing page, with tailored updates to meet the unique needs of each.

  • ACPS Homepage Refresh:

The redesigned homepage will offer a streamlined experience, making it easy to access key information, including calendar events, quick links and news items.

  • School Landing Pages:

Updates to individual school pages will make it easier to stay connected to each school’s unique activities and resources. These pages will feature school-specific calendar events, news and social media activity, ensuring families and the school community have the ability to stay engaged with each school’s latest updates.

Launch Date and How You Can Help

The refreshed ACPS website will officially launch on March 1, 2025, which will better support our community and enhance engagement across all of ACPS. As we work to make the ACPS website the best it can be, we invite everyone to help us keep it accurate and up-to-date. If you notice any outdated content or broken links, please send this information to acpswebsite@acps.k12.va.us.
