Early Kindergarten Registration for the 2025-26 School Year
Alexandria City Public Schools’ (ACPS) kindergarten registration process for the 2025-26 school year is underway for all ACPS elementary schools. We encourage families to register early as it helps to ensure the school division has the teachers, staff and resources needed to support every student.
Registration Information
Families should use the new student registration webpage to confirm their child meets the age requirements and to learn about the required documents for registration in the upcoming school year. To find your family’s school zone, use the attendance zone locator tool.
Families should use the online student registration form for the 2025-26 school year that is currently available online. Support is available in the school division's top five languages in order to assist families throughout the registration process. If a family has any issues or questions about how to register their child, they should call their boundary school’s registrar for assistance.
Students are able to be registered without completing the Commonwealth of Virginia School Entrance Health Form or before receiving the required immunizations to start school. This form needs to be submitted before the first day of school, but is not required to complete the early registration process.
Once the family has completed the online registration form, the next step is to call the school or contact the school registrar to schedule a time to visit and present all the necessary documents for in-person confirmation and completion of the registration process.
In-Person Registration Events
